The three tiers are Gloucestershire County Council, Forest of Dean District Council and Littledean Parish Council.

The highest tier of local government is Gloucestershire County Council. This authority is responsible for county-wide services and strategic planning across Gloucestershire. Its responsibilities include non-trunk roads, education, emergency services, libraries, and trading standards, along with other important public services.
Further information about the work of the County Council can be found on the Gloucestershire County Council website.
Forest of Dean District Council
