Littledean Highways Information

Littledean Parish Council encourages residents to help maintain safe roads during periods of icy weather. Roadside grit bins are located in several areas of the parish, particularly near roads with steep gradients where icy conditions can present a hazard. These bins contain a salt and grit mixture which residents may use to help treat icy sections of the public highway. The contents are intended for use on public roads and pavements only and should not be used on private driveways. Using the grit responsibly helps keep routes safer for both vehicles and pedestrians during winter conditions.
